Annapurna Circuit Trek: Max elevation 5416 M:
Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu airport and drive to Hotel, welcome dinner with culture program
Day 02: Visit world heritage sites at Kathmandu (Pashupati, Boudha, Swyabhu, Patan & Kathmandu)
Day 03: Kathmandu - Besishahar (approx 7 hrs drive) Drive Kathmandu to Besisahar (790 M) will be approx 7 hrs. seenic drive by bus whilst if you are taking private transport you may save about one and half hour. overnight at lodge on full board.
Day 04: Besishahar - Bahundanda (1310 M)
This day our journey starts at Besisahar, from where the trails maked the climb to Khudi at 790 m, we then reach the first gurung village. As we continue the trek from Khudi the trail offers fine views of Himalchuli and peak 29 (Ngadi Chuli). Itt climbs to Bhulbhule at the 825 m, it then goes to Ngadi before reaching Lampata at 1135 m and nearby Bhaundanda at 1310 m. overnight at lodge on full board.
Day 05: Bahundanda - Chamje (1500m) Today the trail drops steeply to Syange at 1070 m from Bahundanda crossing the Marsyangdi River on a suspension bridge. We then follow the rivet to the stone village of Jagat before climbing through to Chamje at 1400 M. overnight at lodge on full board.
Day 06: Chamje - Bagar Chap 2160 M The day begins with the rocky trail following the Marsynagdi River steadily uphill to Tal at 1675 M, the first village in the Manang district. We make a trailverse crossing a wide flat valley. The trail then climbs a stone stairway to 1860 M till another stairway. The journey continues making up and down to Dharapani at 1890 M. there we find a stone entrance chorten typical of the Tibetan influenced villages from here northwards. We then visit the Bagarchhap at 2160 M that offers the typical flat roofed stone houses of local Tibetans design although the village which is still in the transition Zone before the dry highlands. overnight at lodge on full board.
Day 07: Bagar Chap - Chame 2630 M With often rock and rocky, the trail climbs to Tyanja at 2360 M and then continues through forest, but near the river to Kopar at 2590 M. As we reach the Chame, the headquater of the Manang district, we are rewarded bye the fine views of Annapurna II as you approach Chame you can enjoy two hot springs by the town. overnight at lodge on full board.
Day 08: Chame - Pisang 3300 M Today we starts through deep forest and steep narrow valley, crosses a river on a long bridge at 2910 M. We then cross another bridge at 3040 M from there the view of the soaring Paungda Danda rock face really begins to appear. From there the trail joins to climb to Pisan, which sprawls between 3200 m and 3300 M. overnight at lodge on full board.
Day 09: Pisang - Manang 3500 M Today we continue through the drier upper part of the Manang district, cut off from the full effect of the monsoon by the Annapurna range. People of this region, herd Yaks and raise crops for part of the year besides, they also continue to enjoy special trading rights gainded way back in 1784. Leaving Pisang, we have an alternate trails north and south of the Marshyangdi river which meet up again at Mungji. The southern route by Hongde, with its airstrip, at 3325 M involves less climbing than the northern route via Ghyaru, through there are better views on the trail that follows the northern bank of the river. From Mungji, the trail continues past the picturesque but partially hidden village of Braga at 3475 M to nearby Manang at 3500 M. overnight at lodge on full board. Day 10: Manang rest for acclimatization. Visit the surroundings. Today we spend a day acclimatizing in Manang. The whole day we spend by doing some fine day walks and overviewing the magnificent views around the village and the day time is best to gain altitude. At the end of the day, we return back to our lodge and have night rest. overnight at lodge on full board. Day 11: Manang - Ledar 4250 M This day we leav Manang & the trail makes as ascent of nearly 2000 M to the Thorung La pass. We make the climb steadily through Tenki, leaving the Marsyangdi valley. continuing along the Jarsang Khola valley we reach Ledar at 4250 M, there we see the vegetation steadily more sparse. overnight at lodge on full board. Day 12: Yak Kharka - Thorung Phedi or High Camp 4600 M The trail descends to cross the river at 4310 M we then climb up to phedi at 4420 M. At high camp on the elevation of 4600 M, we can recently found some good guest house built. overnight at lodge on full board.
Day 13: Thorung Phedi or High Camp – Thorung Pass - Muktinath 3710 M The journey from the Phedi "foot of the hill" or at the foot to the 5416 m Thorung La pass, begins the day. We then make the climb steeply that is regularly used and easy to follow. However, the problem may arise due to the altitude and snow. It often causes terrible problem to cross the pass if it is covered by snow. About four hours climb to the pass marked by the chortens and prayer flags. As you reach the top. You are rewarded by the magnificent view from the top. overnight at lodge on full board.
Day 14: Muktinath -Jomsom After crossing high pass of 5416 m now we are stepping down to lower elevations. Your muscle may feel pain full and we are taking way down to kagbeni for the first day which is the boarder of Upper Mustang and Lower Mustang. Continue downhill to Jomsom and overnight at lodge on full board.
Day 15: Jomsom – Pokhara (Flight) overnight hotel with breakfast
Day 16: Drive to Kathmandu and overnight at hotel with breakfast
Day 17: Final departure to airport
